3005-S-EX Kit – Includes 1005S-EX Ignition, 2005 Coil, and 3003 Plug Wires
The 3005-S-EX Kit gives you everything you need to replace your stock ignition with something that works great — and looks clean. It includes the 1005S-EX internal nose cone ignition module, a 2005 ARB EO-legal coil (CARB EO D-641-2), and 3003 plug wires. It’s 50-state legal (EO D-641-3) for 1998–2003 Sportster® 883/1200 models, except the 1200S.

🧠 Tech Stuff That Matters:
- 4 rotary switches on the module: fire mode, advance curve, timing, RPM limit
- LEDs show status and VOES input – status LED flashes at TDC for static timing
- Tach wire doubles as USB communication link when engine is off (connects to USB adapter)
💡 Tuning Flexibility:
You can dial in your curve with the onboard switches, or plug it into your laptop using our USB interface and PC Link Evo software (sold separately). You’ll get access to rear cylinder trim, build-your-own timing curves, and more. The software works in demo mode even if you’re not connected.
🦵 Kick Start Ready:
If your unit is a Rev 7.0 or newer (built after January 2006), it already supports kick start mode — even in both single and dual fire setups.

- ✅ Using Dual Fire? Let us know at checkout — we will pre-program dual fire kick start mode for you free of charge. Or you can adjust this feature yourself using the USB interface and PC LINK Evo software.
⚠️ If You Have a 1200S (Dual Plug):
The 1200S uses a different ignition system. You’ll need our 1007-EX external module, a 3-ohm four-tower coil like the Dyna DC6-4, and you’ll have to remove the OE MAP sensor. You’ll also need to add our timing rotor (P/N 18004) and VOES switch (P/N 18010).

Awesome Ignition.
I got this kit years ago, when I swapped into cams with more overlap….it’s been great, very reliable, and I like that I can easily retard the ignition a click if I am somewhere where I can’t get 91+ octane.
