The M8 Carb Racing Ignition Kit is engineered specifically for 2017–2026 Milwaukee Eight engines running a racing carburetor. This complete ignition solution delivers precise spark control, wide tuning flexibility, and professional race durability.

The 2017 M8 Carb Racing Ignition has several kit variations.

Complete Kit part number is: 2017M8-IK and this  kit includes:

• 2017M8CRI – M8 Race Ignition Module

• 2018M8 – Milwaukee Eight High Output Coil

• 1008-HH Wire Harness

• 18014 USB Interface

This kit provides everything required for installation and tuning a carb M8.

We also offer kits with reduced functionality.  Kit 2017M8-HI does not include coil or USB and kit 2017M8-HIC does not include the USB. Also available are kits that include a version of the ignition module that includes a Drag Race Two Step Launch feature.

Designed for 2017–2026 M8 Carb Racing Engines

This ignition system is purpose-built for carbureted Milwaukee Eight racing applications. It utilizes the OEM M8 crankshaft position sensor for accurate timing reference.

Additionally, the billet aluminum housing with black anodized finish ensures durability in high vibration environments.

Adjustable Ignition Control

The module features five rotary configuration switches for fast trackside adjustments.

Rotary Switch Adjustments

• Initial timing adjustment: ±4 degrees

• Select your total Advance Curve

• Digitally set RPM limit in 100 RPM increments

• Selectable multi-spark mode

Because of this flexibility, the system accommodates stock engines as well as highly modified race builds.

Custom Advance Curve Programming

You may adjust timing directly using the onboard switches. However, for maximum control, connect the module to a laptop using the included 18014 USB interface.

Using the TC88 PC Link software, you can:

• Build a fully custom ignition advance curve

• Optimize total advance

• Fine tune slope and RPM mapping

• Save and reload timing maps

Therefore, tuners can tailor ignition performance for drag racing, road racing, or custom engine combinations.

Note: The 18014 USB interface plugs into the diagnostic connector on the Daytona Twin Tec motorcycle wiring harness.

Two Step Option for Drag Racing

If you require launch control functionality, select the kit that includes the two step version of the ignition:

2017M8-TIK kit includes:

• 2017M8CRI-T – M8 Race Ignition Module with Two Step RPM Limiter

• 2018M8 – Milwaukee Eight High Output Coil

• 1008-HH Wire Harness

• 18014 USB Interface

The two step version adds a secondary RPM limiter. Consequently, it holds engine speed at a preset limit while staging. This provides consistent launch RPM during drag racing.  We also offer a variation of this kit: 2017M8-THI that dos not include the coil.
