Windows Software
Click on the software that you
want to download. You must use Internet Explorer as your web browser. Firefox
will not work and other web browsers are not supported. These materials are in the form of compressed files that
utilize the new Windows Installer service for an easy one click install. The
software is compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7. We no longer support older Windows
versions. For Windows
Vista, you must disable the User Account Control (UAC) during
installation as described in the Vista
UAC Tech Note. When
the File Download dialog box appears, click on the Run option.

The
following table lists the required software and possible upgrade paths for our
TCFI and VRFI series. To determine the firmware revision of your module, use
your current PC Link or Log software and download from the module. A message
box will pop up with the module's firmware revision. To determine the version
of your software, click on About on the Help menu. If you attempt to
load an incorrect firmware revision into your module or use any software
versions other than the required software listed below, the module may become
inoperative.

Note:
PC Link TCFI IID software has been modified so that you can install both
versions if you need to support modules with older firmware (see table below
for compatibility). Before you download and install any new PC Link TCFI IID
software, please uninstall your original version.

USB Driver
To install the USB driver for
the Twin Scan II or P/N USB-INT USB interface, click on the link below. Before installing
the USB driver, make sure that your USB device is not connected to your
PC. The
USB driver is compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7. It will not install on older PCs
running Windows 98 or ME. For Windows
Vista, you must disable the User Account Control (UAC) during
installation as described in the
Vista
UAC Tech Note. When the File Download dialog box
appears, click on "Run this program from its current location."
Ignore any security warnings and click on Yes to continue. After
installation of the driver is complete, connect the USB device. The Windows
Found New Hardware Wizard will appear and complete installation of the USB
device. Then refer to the COM Port Configuration section in the instructions
for your device to properly configure its USB interface using Device
Manager.

TCFI III Firmware Update
You can update the firmware in TCFI
III units. The firmware update package is a ZIP archive file that you
can download by clicking on the link below. You will require PKZIP to unzip
the individual files within the archive. If you do not have PKZIP installed on
your computer, you can download it from the PKWARE
Inc. website.
Installation of the firmware update requires the Mega Boot Programmer software
and accompanying instructions that you can also download by clicking on the
links below. You must use Internet Explorer as your web browser. Firefox will
not work and other web browsers are not supported. Read the instructions carefully before proceeding. Mega Boot Programmer software is compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7.
We no longer support older Windows versions. For Windows
Vista, you must disable the User Account Control (UAC) during
installation as described in the Vista
UAC Tech Note.
Once you have installed Mega Boot Programmer software
on your PC, you can continue to use it for any future TCFI III firmware revisions.
Warning:
For use with TCFI III only. If you try to use
this firmware with a TCFI Gen I or Gen II unit, it will become inoperative and you must return it to the factory.
